Introduction Overview

In any business, no one could not wants a system or a way to help him or her combine all the activities he or she does with technology so that  it will allows him or her to do everything and come up with all the details of what he or she has done and the results that have come out of it without breaking it!
 
It is in the context of Accounting Class Rwanda that we have prepared a tutorial on how to use the QuickBooks Accounting Software that you can use in any business and be able to monitor and analyze your to monitor and analyze your performance and finances in daily activities in your business.
 
These tutorials are designed to help anyone who wants to learn how to manage their business financially, to monitor all their operations and productivity where they will know the basics of how to do and store enough documents for all their business activities using the QuickBooks Accounting Program (Simply learn how to use QuickBooks).

Create a Company File/Business set Up

Below are  the   7 Steps of Creating  Company File
Step No 1:  Once you have opened QuickBooks, select the “Create a new company” option. (This
option can also be found in the File menu on the toolbar). Click “Start Interview” and
begin answering the interview questions.
 
Step No 2: Enter your company information: You are only required to enter a company name, but
entering all pertinent company information now will
save time and make things easier
later.
Step No 3: Select your Industry: Based on your selection, QuickBooks will customize its settings
to better accommodate your business. 
 
Step No 4: Select your company organization type If you don’t
know what you company organization type is you are most likely a sole proprietorship.
Selecting the correct business type will simplify tax
 
Step No 5: Select the first month of your fiscal year: Select January, unless you prefer to define a
different fiscal year.
 
Step No 6: Set up your administrator password: If others will have access to your computer or
company file, it is a good idea to set up an administrator password so only you will have
full access to your QuickBooks company file.
 
Step No 7:  Create you company file: Click “Next” and specify where you would like QuickBooks to
save your company file.
 
By ending  here, the QuickBooks will shows you  others  information  to fill and sett like , your services and  Products , Etc. …, , in your Company , but you fill out  later  , after  creating  Company  file. 

The QuickBooks Homepage and Managing Your List

The  Quick book Home  Page  is  made  up  of  mostly Chat of Accounts as well as List of  Accounts, where you will customize and  Review   all accounts  settings , Chart of Accounts List, Vendors List, Customers List, and Items and Services List . To set up your accounts you need to know the date you would like to start from and how you would like to organize you income and
Expenses.
