ROLE DESCRIPTION

The HOPE Trips planner and facilitator is responsible for coordinating all logistics and managing all communications for 6-8 HOPE trips per year. This includes traveling to host the trip alongside the select HOPE program/partner and overseeing all details to ensure a smooth trip for current and prospective HOPE supporters. Collaborating with the other HOPE Trips staff and across various departments and global programs, this person will demonstrate a proficiency in setting and executing trip agendas, drafting and adhering to trip communication plans, and detail-oriented planning, while maintaining a high level of regard for consistent excellence in customer service and relational stewardship. This position will also assist the experience team through general event support and will assist the marketing team with the collection of stories and content from the field.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Promote and contribute to the fulfillment of HOPE International’s mission and vision
  • HOPE Trips Responsibilities
  • Attend and coordinate all logistics for 6-8 trips to visit HOPE programs each year to create a meaningful traveler experience aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values
  • Manage pre-trip and post-trip communications with travelers and host pre-trip orientation calls
  • Assist with traveler preparations and respond to all traveler info requests
  • Liaise with field staff to plan trip itineraries and coordinate in-country logistics
  • Manage individual trip budgets and analytics (alongside the HOPE trips team)
  • Collect feedback and analyze trip effectiveness to report back to leadership
  • Coordinate additional trip requests and gatekeep communication through appropriate channels including processing field visit requests by donors and partners and hosting select field visits as approved by leadership
  • Track traveler donations/payments and other trip expenses to effectively steward all trip expenses and revenue for each trip
  • Support the broader advancement team with invitation and recruitment resourcing for trips
  • Work with the marketing team to concept collateral and establish production/lead time requirements for projects such as promotional materials, trip booklets, and general branding for HOPE trips
  • Ensure proper brand representation, presentation, and message preparation on behalf of HOPE International on all trips
  • Experience Team Support and Other Responsibilities
  • Support content gathering efforts during trips
  • Assist the Experience Team as support staff for select events
  • Attend bi-weekly experience team meetings, biweekly staff meetings, and weekly staff prayer & devotions
  • Travel and attend the annual Experience Team retreat, the annual advancement team retreat, and HOPE’s annual Leadership Summit event
  • Special Projects as directed by the HOPE Experience Director

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International
  • Trip hosting experience, cross-cultural ministry or work experience, and/or other related experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, including effective time management, keen attention to detail, and prioritization of competing demands/multiple deadlines
  • Outgoing personality with excellent oral, written, customer service, and public communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact sensitively and appropriately with others in different cultures
  • Ability to collaborate effectively cross-departmentally
  • Willingness to travel frequently (local travel and international travel 6+ times each year)
  • Fluency in Spanish or Kinyarwanda preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for Christ-centered microenterprise development
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
